ABOUT US

‘YOUplift’ is an organization that aims to uplift children with Special Educational Needs by the medium of raising awareness. The organization aims to create a holistic environment for these children by removing the stigma attached to them, by realizing the sensitivity towards the issue and by intensifying the value of acceptance of the learning disabilities at hand. The prejudicial attitudes toward children with special educational needs often manifest themselves as low social acceptance, which in turn increases the risk of victimisation. ‘YOUplift’ aims to drive and take people across the inside world of the children with learning disabilities, evaluating and sharing the challenges faced by them, recognising the children in need and highlighting the obstacles faced by the teachers and education officials to deliver the curriculum to bring them at par with students of their own age.  Spreading awareness on the relevant provisions available for these children ranging from inclusive educational facilities to send the child with special needs to the appropriate education facility to the initiatives of the government of India to promote Inclusive School education will also be the pillars of the organisation.
